Is Doggy free?
Yes. The daily check-in, the reminders, everything you write about your animals, and both an email and a text message to your contact if you miss one are free, with no time limit and no card asked for. The phone calls and the printed card are the paid part.

Why the text is free and the call is not
Telling your contact at all is the promise this app makes. Putting a price on the promise would mean that on the free plan nobody is told an animal is waiting — and then the app does not work. So the text is free.
The call is different. It costs money to place, every time, and it is the thing that wakes somebody at four in the morning. That is what you are paying for.
Can I use the free version forever?
Yes. It does not expire, it does not nag, and nothing is charged. Plenty of people use it that way and never pay us anything.
Where the texts and calls reach
The United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. Email reaches everywhere. If your contact's number is somewhere else, the app says so rather than selling you a channel that cannot be delivered.
